Head’s Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the festive season, I'm delighted to share some of the wonderful happenings at our school. The air is filled with excitement and the sound of children's voices as we prepare for our Christmas performances.
Our littlest stars in Hatton Class have been working hard on their 'Wriggly Nativity', and I must say, it's absolutely lovely! Their enthusiasm and joy are truly infectious. Meanwhile, Key Stage 1 pupils gave a beautiful re-telling of the Christmas Story at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday evening. The singing was delightful, and our Year 3 pupils did a marvellous job with the narration.
Years 4, 5, and 6 are still in the thick of rehearsals, learning their lines for their upcoming performance. I have every confidence that it will be fabulous - their dedication is truly admirable. A special mention must go to Mrs Russell, who has been working tirelessly on the costumes for our Year 6 pupils. Her creativity and hard work are greatly appreciated.
As we near the end of term, I must acknowledge that we're facing some challenges with several members of staff being unwell. I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the rest of our incredible team who have pulled together, taking on extra duties and midday supervision. Your commitment to our pupils and the school is truly commendable.
Now, I have some exciting news to share with you all. This week, the Department of Education released the 'Compare school and college performance in England' data. I am absolutely thrilled to announce that based on last year's Key Stage 2 data, we have been ranked the 5th Primary School in Warwickshire! This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our pupils, the unwavering support of our parents, and the tireless efforts of our exceptional staff. We should all be immensely proud of this achievement.

As we wrap up this term and look forward to the holiday season, I'd like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Your involvement in our school community is invaluable, and it's what makes our school such a special place.
I wish you all a peaceful and joyous Christmas. May this festive season bring you warmth, love, and happiness. I look forward to welcoming you all back in the New Year, refreshed and ready for new adventures in learning.

wriggly nativity
Hatton Class performed a wonderful ‘Wriggly Nativity’ this week, firstly for their buddies and then for their families. We were so proud of each and every one of them as they sang, danced and performed with enormous energy and enthusiasm. The children all looked fantastic in their costumes and it was a heartwarming performance to start this festive season. Thank you to those of you that were able to come along and share the joy of our youngest children's retelling of the Christmas story.
Year 1, 2 and 3 Nativity
Our Year 1, 2 and 3 pupils treated us to a wonderful performance, retelling the timeless Nativity story. The church was filled with the joyous sounds of their angelic voices, as they sang their hearts out, bringing the Christmas spirit to life.
It was heartwarming to see our young pupils shine on stage, their faces beaming with pride and excitement. The atmosphere in the church was electric, with every corner brimming with festive cheer. Parents, staff, and pupils alike were swept up in the enchanting narrative and melodious carols.
Thank you to all the adults who came to watch the performances as it means so much to the staff involved and the children.

national space centre
Wroxall had a great time exploring the National Space Centre last week. Each group enjoyed learning about the Space Race, features of the planets in our solar system, how we can look after our planet and about the stars that fill our galaxy. We also visited the Planetarium for a tour of the night’s sky. It was fascinating hearing about how the constellations were given their names and the meaning behind them. A very busy day but lots of great learning!
star swimmer
A huge congratulations to Maisie in Year 5 who recently competed in a National swimming competition against children from around the country. She swam amazingly and was awarded a medal for being the TOP 9 year old swimmer! What a fabulous achievement Maisie, we are all so proud of you!
Wroxall Eco Christmas!
Wroxall class have spent our final literacy lessons researching how much unnecessary waste we produce at this time of year - almost a third more than at any other time! We learnt that the UK’s wrapping paper stretches 227,000 miles (9 times around the equator!), that we will waste an extra 300,000 tonnes of food and that the wasted card packaging we will amass this year, could cover the Big Ben tower over 260,000 times over! We explored how we could reduce this waste and wrote persuasive leaflets. We will donate the money we don’t spend on cards this year as a class, to a local charity that is working to increase biodiversity - our current Eco-Schools theme. Well done Wroxall Class!
